
	In 1986, after 20 years experience in design, engineering, manufacturing and sales of travel trailers, Mel Hyman decided it was time to establish his own company. In March of that year, Peggy Flager and Mel Hyman created Hy-Line Enterprises Inc. Through past experience Mel recognize the importance of the RVIA standards to insure dealer quality and customer safety. Hy-Line applied for membership with RVIA and immediately began production. After only six months, the rented facility, which was home to our first units, proved to be inadequate to meet our production goals. We then purchased a new 17,000 square foot manufacturing site on Beck Drive in Elkhart, IN. In July of 1989, Hy-Line completed an 11,250 square foot addition to the facility necessary to maintain our flexible production schedule.
